With the end obviously near for howard, how do you think it will all go down? Me, I think that howard will not end his radio program with a grand finale. I believe that he will simply go off the air believing that he will be picked up somewhere else and then never heard from on the radio again. He will make spot appearances living his new |family friendly" façade trying to ignore the fact that hes made his entire career off of the exact opposite that he portrays now. and he and beth will continually try to be the new money that tries so desperately for old money acceptance... and, like everything that howard has ever done (except for that lottery ticket called THSS) he will fail miserably and foolishly.

A roast of Howard finale would be awesome but that's never going to happen. He got slaughtered at the Artie roast and so much joke worthy shit has happened since then.

In reality he probably just wont come back after a vacation. There will be a small press release and no one will really care besides us.

The Aryans will kill off most of the main characters, and JD will end up making meth for them.

I'd go with this this, there's nothing in it for Howard to put any effort into a high profile departure.

The show should have ended with a bang, but it's going to be a whimper. And the way he's silent about people leaving (Teddie and Tim) or elements of his show that shut down quietly (Howard TV, Back Office Radio, Robin's vacant booth) or the way he doesn't mention when he's going on vacation, I wouldn't be surprised it if ended with him just not being on the air the following week and it's filled with some other show and you have to draw your own conclusions. And how would he be able to top this as an exit anyway?:

The same way all radios shows end: you tune in one day and they're replaced by something else.

Although in Howard's case, he might actually get to say goodbye. But WGAS? I've already said goodbye to him!

As for the krock ending it was good the way the did it, leaving one at a time and stuff like that but Howard's speech was beyond terrible

Agree. I was cutting Stern a lot of slack back then, but I still found that "Last of a dying breed" speech both rambling and pointless.

Yeah, and what "breed" exactly? Howard built a career saying no one else in radio was talented or original, and they all ripped him off.

"The Howard Stern show is no longer on the air, channels 100 & 101 will no longer be in service. SiriusXm invite you to experience the many channels that it has to offer". This on a continuous loop on a Monday morning very soon.
