The 70's are calling they want their music back.....

    MarksFriggin:

Howard said he went on iTunes and this is disturbing him. He said he got into some music over the vacation. He said that he got into Peter Frampton. He said he was watching video of Peter and Leslie West playing together. Howard said he was a real talent when it came to guitar playing. He said he had a huge live album and it sold something crazy. He said it was like 25 million copies or something like that. Howard said he was in Humble Pie and some other band. Fred said he'd have to look that up. Howard said he had Frampton's Camel too. Howard said the guy was a real talent. Howard said he wanted to hear this one Peter Frampton song ''Do You Feel Like We Do.'' Howard said he went to download it and it said he had to download the whole album. Howard said he was fine with that and then he figured he couldn't even get the whole album. Howard said he isn't sure why they won't let you download the single.
Howard said Frampton's big live album sold 11 million copies. He said that's pretty good. Howard said he has a clip of Frampton playing ''While My Guitar Gently Weeps.'' Howard said he'd go see him in concert. Howard said he still sings pretty good too.
Howard said he finds it mysterious that you can't get that one single from Frampton. Howard said he is upset about that too. Howard said he's not sure why he even got into this. He said no one cares. He said he cared at the time.
Howard said when he has a good song on iTunes he gives it 5 stars. He said that way he can keep a list of his favorite songs. Howard played some of the Frampton song he was talking about. He said he thinks this song is great. He had Fred cut it off a few seconds later.
Howard said he has a guy on the phone who says he knows why Frampton got ruined. The caller said he had a photo on the cover of Rolling Stone where he had his shirt open. He said Frampton says they said they weren't going to use the photo but they did and then he dropped like a rock. Howard said he never had a hit with a studio album either. He said it was only the live album. Fred said his following album was shit too. He also had a near fatal car crash that could have contributed to that.
Howard said that song ''30 Days in the Hole'' was another big hit. He said everything went kablooey after that. The caller said that everybody was playing it everywhere and then he just fell out of favor. He said he loves the show and he can't believe they waited a week to hear a half hour of King of All Blacks. He said other than that everything is wonderful. Howard let the guy go after that.

Frampton was in humble pie, ( an original member) albeit for a very short period of time..... Frampton also had zero to do with " 30 days in the hole" and had already left the band by that time.

Even worse, I used to follow Humble Pie because they used to play the Valley clubs all the time. I don't remember Frampton being there. Oh well.:dontknow:

Frampton was probably long gone by the time you saw them.

I think the funniest thing about this segment is Howard just discovered that on iTunes some artists have certain songs on albums that you must buy the entire album to get that song and Howard couldn't figure out how to buy the entire album.

At the time of his death, Steve Marriott had been working with Frampton on a new record. Here's one of a few that they had basically finished.

I think Frampton invented(or was first to use it on a record) the talk box

Right. Didn't Gary give him a whole bunch of mp3s anyway, Frampton had to be in there. Prolly doesn't know how to access it. It's really Apple users that hold Apple back.

I was dying when he said he couldn't figure out how to buy the whole album--he didn't want to pay for the tracks he already downloaded separately.
