    That's why he doesn't give a shit anymore - plain and simple.

    If you're already listening he's already been paid - if you're not a subscriber(agt, name in the news, etc) he cares

    I hadn't thought about that before but you are absolutely right. Sign on is his only concern not retention. Matter of fact getting people to quit then sign back on again would count as another new sub.

    your point is correct, but your reason is flawed.
    if he was still getting paid for signups, then he would still try to do a good show, because people may buy more subs and give more referrals/

    though yeah he doesn't care anymore because he has no financial incentive to care
