The circle designates a Monday working (assuming Howard works Monday of next week.)

If he does work next Monday, it would've been a whole month since he last worked on a Monday.

Don't worry - he'll slow down that breakneck pace.

I hope he takes Mondays off for the rest of his contract. Tuesdays and Wednesdays for that matter.

If he's still contracted to do 120 days this year, he must have given up at least one week of vacation (Mon, Tue, Wed) and cashed it in for three Mondays off.

No wonder Robin is pissed at him. She'd rather have a whole week off ("Week" = Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed, Thur, Fri, Sat, Sun) to go to London / Miami / Arizona / Napa than have three different weeks with Mondays off, as coming in to work for just 2 days is an insult to both her and us.

    Thanks, Howchie.

I could be wrong, but didn't he work 142 days last year, down from 162 the previous year?

Why the drop from 142 to 120.

(142 is the number I remember when I counted. But I could be wrong.)

Perhaps Howard used this as an inspiration for his 2012 Sirius/XM schedule - the vacation curse should be converted into a work day curse.

I've never seen his contract so who knows, but it may be that he has a total number of shows he must do throughout his contract with a minimum number of shows per year and he can decide how he wants to distribute them. Or it may be that he has it so that he does X number of shows in year one and then less and less each year of his contract.

When discussing the screw-up that caused them to have to work Thursdays in December, Howard mentioned that this year and the following years of the contract required fewer shows, at another time he mentioned either 120 or 122 live shows for this and the rest of the contract years.

I was thinking the same thing, the only loophole might be that he has a certain number of "sick" days and is using them for AGT.

I also wondered if Howard was using "personal days" for AGT - the same way Scott wanted to use them for bowling but was told they were meant for unexpected emergencies, not planned events.

Here's been my beef with this whole "slowdown" in work days. If he wanted all this extra time off, is as tired of radio as it appears, and believes that Sirius is keeping money that belongs to him, why the fuck did he bother signing on to do another contract with them? Why didn't he just give up the radio gig and take his 500 million marbles to one of his homes and he can sit there and be off everyday.

At this point the man is just bitchslapping his audience, disrespecting the show and people that got him all this fame and fortune. Three day work weeks? TWO DAY work weeks? Why fucking bother?

Howard had to keep his "day job" on SiriXM. What do you think Comcast/NBCU/AGT is paying him for?
    His Judging ability?

Nope, he's being paid to shill, as he's never shilled, before.

Unfortunately, unlike CBS/Viacom/Infinity, where Howchie had a contract stating he had to share advertising revenue with his day job, Howard's Siri contract is not as restrictive. Howard is the one who decides whether material being aired is advertising vs "content." (Howchie & Buchwald found out, the hard way by being sued, that they had to be the sole arbiters of what constitutes "Rock the Grilled Cheese".)

And you know Howchie: his fans are just dying to know every minute detail of his new AGT life. He's doing us all a favor by satisfying our cravings. Just listen to the callers. They all visit his tapings and love him sooo much.

If Howard lost his SiriXM job, he'd be thrown off of AGT so fast, we'd forget he was ever slated to do it. AGT must have a back up person, in the wings, just waiting for Howchie to blow it.
