He's really losing it.
I remember hearing that song for the first time when I was a kid in the 70s listening to Dr. Demento.
He can't remember having the Westboro Baptist Church in the studio but believes he wrote that song..... revisionist memory kicking in?????
Howard has diarrhea of the mouth and constipation of the brain.
Howard was so sure he invented it....
What was his excuse? Something like how other DJs stole stuff from him without knowing it?
Good point. I like the phrase selective memory - makes him (and people like him) more culpable.
Robin I invented several of my signature bits after hearing other DJs do those same bits!
In fairness to Howard he might have invented a few verses that involve keeping all the money and big thick cocks.
What's next, Howard admits he wrote "The Star Spangled Banner" ?
So many posters have mentioned him stealing Steve Dahl's act. I'm not surprised one bit, but I've meaning to check out Dahl.
Years ago at the other place someone posted links to audio of Dahl doing stuff before Howard (fake) invented it.
Howard invented Dr. Demento. He also invented the tv that you watched Dr. Demento on.
I heard that while trying to get a Jay Thomas on-demand to play on my phone. What a deluded weirdo he is.
"I wrote this song for my daughters, they loved it"
...howard was wearing pf flyers and riding a bike with streamers out the handlebars when dr demento first came on the radio. i heard it on kzap one of the first fm radio stations in northern california located on the campus of sac state.
I invented the shaving cream song, btw.
Howard is showing signs of early onset dementia.
Other uncredited songs Howie wrote:
Row row row your boat
I wrote happy birthday for my first son.
