For the past two days, Howard has brought up Mortimer Zuckerman for his defense of the whole 9/11 comments saying that Zuckerman argued the same thing as him. But, surprise, he didn't.

Zuckerman argued the threat of cyber terrorism where cyber terrorists would put viruses in into the financial databases to take down the U.S. economy or hack the FAA or the railroads to crash planes or trains or something of that nature. It was a far greater terror than some hacker breaking into one corporation's e-mail server and stealing a bunch of e-mails. He was talking about real and significant cyber threats that could cripple this nation and/or cause massive amounts of deaths. Not that we found out that the head of Sony made racist comments about the President or thinks Angelina Joli is a bitch.

Here is an Op Ed piece by Zuckerman explaining his point and you will see it absolutely nothing like Howard's.

I think all of this "news" about what he said will just eat away at him over the holidays and drive him nuts.

The more Howard whines and tries to defend himself the more he proves the Daily News was right. He misquotes and misinterprets other people's opinions and uses ridiculous examples to try and justify his statements. He really is an idiot and he proves it every time he opens his mouth.

I sought out this article yesterday when that monkey faced fuck ran in to reassure Howard that Zuckerman made the "EXACT" same claim.

Of course, Zuckerman did not make the "EXACT" same claim and, didn't even mention 9/11 in the same context.

He only mentioned 9/11 as a warning that we need to be proactive rather than reactive to any cyber threats.

Zuckerman didn't say that a cyber-attack was on the scale of 9/11 which is what Howard claimed and Howard was talking about a fucking movie studio hack, not a hack into our weapons infrastructure or financial systems which is what Zuckerman was talking about.

Not close to being the same.

I'm just glad Howard is upset at the start of his almost 3 week vacation. "Beth, I'm the king of all media. How dare they!"

Well, if you strip down Zuckerman's entire piece until all you have left are two words left - cyber terrorism, they are talking about the same thing. Well, sorta, kinda, but not really.

They did more than hack emails, they hacked the internal database---

The eight data dumps released to date have contained an almost bottomless store of harmful and embarrassing disclosures: the salaries of executives, the Social Security numbers of movie stars, the health records of employees, and emails

Computers and corporate email accounts were rendered useless for several days. Sensitive documents, like spreadsheets of employee salaries, were pilfered and leaked to journalists. Several Sony films -- like the upcoming remake of the musical "Annie" and Brad Pitt's "Fury" -- were posted to illicit web sites.

"This theft of Sony materials and the release of employee and other information are malicious criminal acts, and we are working closely with law enforcement," Sony studio bosses Michael Lynton and Amy Pascal wrote in an internal memo on Tuesday night.

If you think they can't do this to banks, hospitals, federal agencies, you're nut. Whether they use a virus or get into the system to leak information, it's terrorism

I hope Zuckerman does call Howard back, and tells him to go fuck himself. It would be great if Zuckerman declared war on Howard and used his paper as a battle ground.

It's already been done to banks. The target and Home Depot hacks. I just don't understand how it is so easy to hack these systems.

I hope that Zuckerman regards Howard's threats to disclose harmful dirt on employees of the Daily News if they don't give him what he wants as an act of terrorism. He should immediately terminate the traitor Marianne Garvey to send a message to everyone that espionage won't be tolerated in his organization. And if he does call Howard back, he should warn him that any further threats made regarding anyone involved in his organization will be received as an act of war, and that he'll respond accordingly. That should scare the shit out of that whimpering, bullying idiot.

Well, that is like taking over all the databases on Wall Street and crashing the U.S. economy or hacking NORAD and detonating several nuclear bombs. Kinda seems like 9/11 and Pearl Harbor combined. Howard undersold it.

Exactly. He should tell Howard to keep his mouth shut. I bet they could dig up a bunch of trash about Howard and Beth. Howard should quit while he is somewhat ahead.

You think the Daily News would be fine with the press releasing emails revealing journalists' sources if their database were hacked?

You're ignorance is astounding, simply because it's being done over time as opposed to one fell swoop, the effects are just as profound.
