Aren't you glad you are not paying for this shit?

Depending on the package people have their bill will go up as much as 14%

Sirius says its artist royalty fees... but I doubt that Wang Chung getting its yearly $20 check from Sirius is
    affecting their bottom line...

hmmmmm now who can you think of that is grossly over paid that works for Sirius??

    :bigthink

    To our Valued Customers:

Important Notice: Effective January 5, 2015, there will be an increase of 1.4 percentage points in the U.S. Music Royalty Fee applied to most audio packages.* Your fee may vary depending on the package and plan term you have and the number of subscriptions on your account. Meh...just call and cancel your service, they will give you a great deal. I do it every year. I like all the hard rock and metal channels on there , since I commute a lot I keep it mainly for those now.

The show started today at 6:06am. I got in my car at 6:30am and Stern was already going to a commercial break. Then 10 minutes later at 6:40am he was going to another commercial break. I guess the huge ad revenue from Squatty Potty and Ashley Madison isn't enough. The people that actually pay need to be raped more for a show that is on the air 3 days a week.

I know people will say I should just cancel if I'm not happy. My company pays for my car and Sirius is included so I get it for free. However, I have been tempted to cancel the free service out of spite.

Sirius/XM first rolled out the royalty fee as a way of extracting more $$ out of subscribers after the merger during the period when it was prohibited from increasing subscription rates.

Interesting that the amount of the royalty fee goes way up in 2015 for certain subscription packages, including nearly doubling for the ala carte package with Howchie.

Never paid for it- never will.

Been listening for free since 1990's and
had free access to the shows since 2006-2012.

I dont pay a red cent to that phony cat piss smelling, wigged Cuckold kikey sell out.

What a sad trajectory for the "bad boy" of radio.

I got suckered in for about a year. I canceled following the firing of Anthony Cumia. Much happier at where I'm at now.

That's a bargain considering that kitchen radio, AM quality sound that Sirius graciously provides.
