I think I'm the last one to realize this. I knew he really was taking a lot of vacation days...but he only has to work 111 days a year (according to suck-ass Stern68)?????? That averages roughly 2 days a week all year!! (and they're 4 hour days)

I know I'm one of the suckers who still listens to the show---although it's only occasionally. I do a lot of driving and music get kind of boring and I guess I still listen hoping for the occasional funny bit (obviously I'm sorely disappointed most of the time). And I do like listening to some of the old stuff. There's a lot I never heard.

So----- he doesn't mind that subscribers that originally signed up when he was working 5 days a week are now paying the same amount (or maybe a iittle more) but he's now working 2 days a week. Again, I realize I'm one of the last ones to figure this all out and I feel like an idiot.

God I"m so close to canceling my sirius subscription. But I also like so many of the music stations and they're commercial free. And I do listen to some talk shows too (I'm incredibly embarrassed to admit I sometimes listen to Judith Regan and Dr. Laura.....Dr. Laura only because I iike listening to her incredibly idiotic callers)......again, it helps with my driving boredom.

Sorry for the boring rant but I really can't believe Sirius and Howard can screw their customers like this. I honestly think they should not renew his contract------- I think I'm one of the last Stern subscribers left. There's no way in hell he has 12 millions listeners.

Pelican is too weak to work. That one almond a day diet is sucking all his calcium out of his bones.

    $80,000,000.00 a year / 111 shows = $720,720.00 per show.

    $720,720.00 / 8 hours = $180,180.18/hour

What do you do for a living?

It is fun and funny when stern is using and abusing the SSI whack packers to fill/kill time and one of them dare ask Howard for some money.....:jj:

I assume that hosting his own Birthday Bash as well as the Town Hall with Billy Joel also count toward his total show requirement.

In addition to fewer live Stern shows, Howard 101 has become a wasteland - Howard had Bubba and Ferrall on the channels shortly after he started in 2006 and while they weren't for everyone, at least they were legit radio guys who previously had syndicated shows. Now 101 is mostly filled with replays and other lame programs.

What do you think he clears after expenses per year of that $80M? I know this has been stated before, but the contract was for the production and salaries of the show members, right? I remember someone saying that only Fred, Gary & maybe Robin get paid by SiriusXM (or something like that).

In fairness, he's "all in" those 111 days and knocking it outta the park.

    Just ask Booey and Hein.

So, an average of about 2 days per week over the year... or 2.5 days per week with 8 weeks vacation per year.... amazing...

If he wants to continue on his contract will be renewed. Even if his show is revenue neutral at this point SiriusXM has nothing to replace him with.

Howard's company is given a pile of marbles.
He and Don try to pocket over 90 percent of the pile.......while blasting the fans with commercials disguised as content!

I am listening to some 2007 stern shows. Stern constantly has something he is hawking clandestinely!
I believe he made 300 million marbles in 2007.....:jj:

Shouldn't you divide that $720,720 by only 4-5 hours? You're giving him too much credit. No way is he putting in 8 hours per show.

my math was actually fucked up.
If its $172,000,000 per show, after you factor in commercials, hes only on air for maybe a little more than 3 hours.

Although Howard gets a ridiculously stupid amount of money a year, no way does he make $80 million a year. He is doing about half the amount of shows he did per year in his first contract. So I assume he is making about half as much as he was a year under his first contract. The lazy media just buy the bullshit that Howard didn't take a pay cut from his first Sirius contract to his second.

Sterns not taking a pay cut, right Robbin? ... ... ... Robbin?

    I thought his first contract was 5y 500million (which was 5hours a day, 4 days a week)
his next was 5y 400 million (which was 4h a day, 3 days a week, + a Lot more vacation)

The middle of Wiggard work week is now Tuesday at 8am.
Wiggards logic says he makes more money per hour, he didnt take a pay cut.
