Whose name will live on? 50 years, 100 years from now?
Absolutely Ozzy, Howie asked them if they were touring... twice. Interviewing skills slipping. Didn't hear him bitch about the long intro to god is dead. Also Russell Brand mentioned that popular Smiths song and Howie never heard of it. Real music man Howie is.
Absolutely nothing to consider here, Ozzy is the obvious choice.
To be honest, I'm hesitant to say that Stern will end up being remembered better by history than Imus at this point.
ozzy is a senior citizen and still out there doing his thing on tour
the man is a fucking legend
howard catn even be assed to talk into a mic a few hours a day without massive complaining. and hes like 58?
I agree with all of the above.
It actually sounded like Howard was talking down to Ozzy this morning. Basically insinuating that he is better friends with Sharon than Ozzy ("she called me last night," "I think I could fuck her," etc.)
One is a Rock Icon.
The other a closeted has been shock jock
Ozzy was my hero growing up and it's beyond sad that Sharon convinced him to become a joke. But come on, it's no contest. Ozzy all the way.
Not only did Ozzy help pioneer a new genre of music, create some of the best hard rock/metal albums ever and become a household name, he also did something that trumps all that put together. He had a cameo in The Jerky Boys Movie!
Ozzy's music will continue on and remain part of mainstream culture, Howard will be known mostly to those studying something that was called radio, much like people currently interested in wagon wheels or rotary phones.
Ozzy is a legend. Stern could have been. He has become a joke.
Did you hear the Rod Stewart and Roger Daltry namedrops?
During the 90s and early 2000s I would honestly say that Stern was the bigger icon,
However since Ozzie getting back into the spotlight via his reality show, coinciding with Stern going to sirius and then completely selling out, I'd say that Ozzie is the bigger icon, and it's not even close
If ozzy suited when he killed randy he would still win this poll
Ozzy and Sabbath are a vital cultural inheritance for which our shared musical landscape is richer.
Howie was an obsessive morning zoo dickbag with a knack for publicity stunts and starfucking.
War Pigs still rules. How has Fartman aged?
Heh heh heh. Great to see the feedback...
I hope Howard is reading this
Who are the three dummies that voted for Howard??
C'mon...just on the first 8 Sabbath Albums ALONE, it's Ozzy. Not even counting his solo albums and TV show.
