This time it's Forbes magazine saying so.

According to Forbes Rush is the 19th Most Powerful Celebrity in the World.

    Howard is #30.

Oh, Howard, Howard, Howard....are you ever going to beat Rush? At anything? Ever? :cwl:

Yes, Howard's hairline receded faster. Allegedly.

I know those rankings are very important and probably keep all the people on the list up at night...:rolleye::rolleye::rolleye:

I heard that Rush is really bothered because Stern has him beat on the all important "number of chimneys" ranking of celebrities in Country Living Magazine...

They're not important to you and me, but you can bet they're important to Howard - especially the part where Rush did better than he did.

    Rush is an awesome band.

There's a radio douchebag with a similar name, so I prefer to call him "Limbaugh", to prevent confusion.

I'm actually surprised Howard is ranked 30th. I guess being "the face" of an inconsequential medium that may be gone in five years still has some cache. I don't think much of blowhard Limbaugh, but no question he is as influential as Howard if not greater.

rush is brilliant and does put in a ton of effort and research, and does a great show for his fans.
though i disagree that its serious conservative opinion or news. its more an entertainment show for republican sycophants. which is fine, except that most of his fans dont realize it. howard fans are far smarter than rushs, thats howards problem. we wont blindly believe what howard says, we are BS detecting experts

i dont. i no longer listen to the show.
no one leads me to believe anything. who are the people that "dont want to compete in the arena of ideas"? and where did you get that phrase form? and why have i never heard them try to make me believe something about rush? ive never heard a rush fan say "rush is wrong on this" or "rush was BSing us today". what would you call someone who always agrees with someone else, other than mind numbing robot? they even refer to themselfs as dittoheads", so they agree with me. whereas ive heard 1000s of stern fans call out howard BS(dozens in person). that doesnt mean they hate howard or hate the show, is just means they are smart and think for themself. i agree rush is very politically astute. other than rove, he might be the smartest guy who comments on politics. but hes not always right, he does sometimes BS, he is trying to be entertaining, and he does always spin(in a very intelligent manner). most of his fans think hes a legitimate form of news, and that hes not an entertainer.
if your last statement was true, he would support a democrat on a conservative issue(and he doesnt), and he would trash the majority of republican on most issues(and he doesnt)
would you agree with me that the majority of republicans are liberals?

I'm sure Limbaugh does quite a bit of research and prep on the sho, but to call him "brilliant"??? Please let me know what you're smoking because I want some...

For Rush's first ten years, I would say he had some extremely creative and innovative programming as he almost singlehandedly reinvented the political talk genre on radio.

Now??? Like Howard, Rush is a shell of what he once was and is relegated to parroting conservative talking points and demonizing anyone with a (D) in front of their name.
If Rush truly wanted to reinvent himself, he could...But like Howard, Rush is fat, happy and doesn't need to.
