Not so sure..I live having Sirius in my truck...I like Blue Collar Comedy, Raw Dog, lots of news stuff...

Wouldn't it be funny if all Dawg members that aren't paying these days, sign up when Howard leaves..

"Sirius subscribers at a record high since Howard Stern retired! News at 11."

As opposed to the great success the company has seen during the Stern era. Sirius' stock price has tanked since Howard joined the company, although partner Stern cashed out his shares as soon as he could.

i think they will suffer a lot, but it appears that Liberty is more interested in Sirius as a liability so i doubt they will care if Sirius loses subscribers.

I bought my first Sirius receiver before he ever announced going to Sirius and I will own a Sirius receiver long after he leaves. I listen to Sirius NFL radio, music channels, and Raw Dog more than I listen to Howard 100 and Howard 101 these days.

The day they fire him I'm signing back up. Although the reality may be that they pull the plug the day after that. The value to Malone is in the tax losses.

I was also listening to the comedy stations... and some music stations... until I canceled.
So Howard is actually talking about leaving now?

Howard wildly exaggerates... 70% of the 20+ million SiriusXM subscribers listen to wiggy? :backlol:

It's more like 1%... if he has more than 200K listeners at this point I would be surprised... that's why he get's so many calls and great guests... and all of the show related youtubes go viral :jj:

Seriously, I recall the only ratings ever done in 2006 or 2007 he only had 300K-500K listeners, show had many more listeners then... actual # now might be under 100K

One of the few things I agree with Howard on these days. There is NOTHING on Sirius I would pay for and that's their fault. They signed Howard, got lazy and never really developed anything else worth paying for. With so many free podcast now available, why would anyone get a Sirius membership?

The equipment in orbit is what Malone wants more then a tax loss. Once the shit's in orbit their maintance cost is next to nothing compared with the building and launching.

I've been getting free months since April. Every time I call to cancel "Here're another few months. You've been w/ us since 2006."

Most of the people who were going to cancel Sirius because of Howard have already done so. I joined for him, but I would have cancelled a long time ago if I hadn't found other things to listen to (specifically Jay Thomas). If Howard left it wouldn't have a big impact on Sirius and no one else would hire him anyway.

With the new owners I don't see Stern lasting to much longer at Sirius. I could be wrong :dontknow:

Same here. I haven't paid more than $5 a month for several years, they always give me the 6 months for $25 deal or a few months for free.

the wonderful thing is howard has nowhere left to go. once sirius shuts down his big paydays are over and even better than that, is the vile ross zapin will also be out of a job.
