Fuck a llama?
Yesterday on the WUS Gary talked a lot about the dress rehearsal and about prepping people like Bryan Cranston (he had to be instructed as to how to pronounce JD's last name) which did a lot to explain to me why the A-listers showed up. They were indeed paid, and not just the musical performers. There's no way Cranston would've come to a rehearsal without being paid.
The HSS wrote Kathy Lee Gifford's crack (don't even think about it) and god knows what other "spontaneous" tributes.
Now that I understand why there were genuine celebrities at the birthday bash, can someone explain why Howard was able to get A-listers like John Goodman to come on the show? There was a spate of big names earlier this year, and now we're back to Jenny McCarthy. What happened?
I predict Howard is going into a deep depression. I mean, he lost all the weight and his life still sucks.
Howard re-re-re-packaging content that makes him look awesome?
I manage a company for an acquaintance of mine which provides hospitality services to random events. We use what we call button pods to communicate between the runners (ushers/waitstaff/busboys etc) and the central administration office in the back of the building. These pods have mini cameras, mics, position locators and call buttons to help out the runners. We were part of the hospitality outfit that services the birthday bash. As such, there's a ton of video showing not only the bash, but the waitstaff interaction with celebs and guests. Some of the shit that the celebs said "privately" is beyond hilarious. If I ever get the motivation, well release the tapes
For the most part, every one there was marvelling at how long Howard was able to stretch his career, some bashed Beth, they almost all laughed at the steerage conditions that Howard's "fans" were forced to endure. The only one that made it thru unscathed was robin. But she had an attitude the whole time.
Anyway... Some day... Perhaps when Howard overly edits his version.
whoa..stop the clock!
re-gifting, for the fans
