What is worse than a shithead with 2 chords down thinking he is "good" at playing the guitar?
I'd rather listen to the motherfucker talk about modge podge.

I hear he's working on barre cords but his emaciating diet prevents his index finger from fretting the entire six strings.

what's worse is the ass kissers who surround him telling him how great it sounds.

Instead of telling him how much of douche bag it make him sound like.

Instead of watching youtube videos of how to play the guitar, he really needs to hire a coach that can slowly and gently show him how to play a few simple notes. He is trying to play Led Zeppelin, when his long term goals should be songs like "The Wheels on the Bus." Since he has to crumple his manorexic body in like an accordion every time he leans over to play, he should spend the first six months just holding the guitar and not even playing. Working on posture will help him from injury and improper playing. I would say his ultimate goal should be learning one, maybe two strum patterns, learn three chords and memorize some simple children's songs and that's it. He doesn't have the discipline or energy to ever be more than an extreme beginner.

you are 100% accurate and totally condescending. It's the lesson Howard needs, but nobody will ever dare to give it to him.

All that assumes Wiggy is actually interested in the hard work it takes for artistic merit and achievement. He's not, this is about something else.

What his sudden mania and "waking up all charged up and not being able to sleep thinking about it" for learning drawing and guitar and scrapbooking and whatever it'll be next week -- what its really about is just the old age crisis that hit him at 60. A phase that most normal people are able to go through gracefully, but when combined with his various preexisting neuroses, mental illness and overall fear of the world, its an all out crisis of the mind.

And ultimately its not going to go anywhere, because sooner or later he'll have to realize he's got no real talent for anything other than being lucky to be in the right place at the right time in the 80's for his particular brand of mediocre shock radio to take off.

why can't he ask for Richard's help? Richard is a world class drummer and also a very good guitarist (he wrote all the music on the 2 albums from his newest band). oh yeah, because Richard is an "underling". Howard could never stoop that low.

Howard is a disgrace and an embarassment. He has failed at being a man, a husband, a father, a son, and a friend. Add his guitar playing to another attempt at being somewhat relevant.

He always pays big bucks for lessons for his hobbies. I'm surprised he hasn't hired Jimmy Page to teach him.

    I somehow forgot about Fred.

but i bet Richard is a better guitar player than Fred, and he definitely knows more theory and would probably be a better teacher. I've known some great guitar players that were terrible teachers. Richard seems like he'd be good.
