I’m sure I’ll be bashed for still being a subscriber, but for those of you who still subscribe to Howard TV, have you noticed how the “Fan Favorites” and “From The Vault” episodes continue to get more and more censored and tame as time goes on (especially in the last year and particularly while AGT is airing)? While episodes like the Artie Roast and Artie Drunk in Vegas used to be mainstays in the “Fan Favorites” or “From the Vault” sections on Howard TV, it seems like any episode with a heavy Artie presence (no pun intended) has been completely erased from the database. Instead, the few of us remaining subscribers are punished with constant repeats of Robin’s Guatemala trip and other crap that most of us could care less about (i.e. the death of Jackie’s cat). It also seems like any Howard TV episodes that could potentially damage Stern’s “good guy,” politically correct, AGT image are rarely replayed or seemingly removed from “Fan Favorite” or “From the Vault” consideration – i.e. “The Evaluators” and “Miss Butterface” shows where Howard points out women’s physical faults, bits where Howard tests the IQs of strippers, porn stars, and the mentally challenged (Grillo not included), moments when Stern seems to encourage bad behavior and excessive drinking (i.e. Miss Howard Stern and Hank the Dwarf), episodes where Howard excessively clowns on people like Wendy the Retard, Elephant Boy, Beetlejuice, Gary the Retard, etc, etc. Whether you subscribe to Howard TV or not, what are your favorite all-time Stern Show moments and when was the last time you WATCHED them uncensored? Even shows without nudity – and especially those which might portray Howard in a negative light to his new AGT audience -- are being removed from YouTube every day by Hypocrite Howard and Don Buchwald.
I gave up my Sirius subscription about a year after Artie was fired. With the current shows not living up to my expectations and the old Artie shows not being replayed on Howard TV, it may be time to finally give up my Howard TV subscription, too (even though I’ve been a subscriber since Day 1). If more people follow suit, maybe it will send a message to Sellout Stern and the guys behind Howard TV (but I doubt it).
Cool story...I'm sure Howard is feeling the pain of your cancellation and you will lead the charge of Howard TV going bankrupt Who are the idiots that still subscribe to Howard TV at this point?
I'm one of those idiots - I admit it... But with YouTube videos being removed every day and MarksFriggin.com possibly disappearing one day, where else can you relive the glory days of Stern we all used to love (besides Dawgs Saloon)? Even this site may not be around forever because of people like you that won't financially support it...
i agree that the artie erasure is bullshit but i care very much about the death of jackie's cat. that brought about a lot of laughs back when howard was still alive and putting on a comedy show.
I have directv so I don't get howardtv, but I've noticed a heavier self-censorship starting from the days when even Artie was still there. The ability to jump around and rewind the show has kept me still mildly interested since I can read marksfriggin and then just jump to the segment I want to listen to. But even that has become less and less frequent for me. To your comments, its not just howardtv, but the show itself that is being censored. Howard is just waaaaay to careful with not saying he "wrong" thing. The last really interested "real" thing that I wanted to listen to was Jason's comments about benjy during a wrap up show a couple weeks back. But they stopped all replies of that wrap-up show. I had to find it on YouTube. Censorship again.
Scandal? Do you have the air date? I'd like to look for it myself. THX. ----- The only thing that would make sense after Sirius, would be; the whole Howard Stern catalog, audio and video, up on-demand for download. As in: Being able to download every single show ever, whenever you want. For maybe $10 a month. To make it more interesting, all that could be accompanied by a weekly new show (audio and video). Howard could continue with AGT. Maybe do his own late night talk shows on occasion. Or make a movie. The other possibility, that is probably more likely (at least for a cynic): The rights to air the Howard Stern catalog (for a time period?) are sold, and butchered Best-of-BS is broadcasted.
Howard TV That shit is unwatchable. I won't even download that tripe. That brings up another subject, Why don't you just download it from, uh, Er , I mean . Great you have Howard TV !
really sad that howard is not just allowing all of his material to be played. i can accept allison censoring, but other than that is unacceptable. he shits on his core audience in an attempt to be accept by the ones who will never accept him
I think he’s referring to the Rob Corddry Wrap Up Show that’s never been replayed and can only be found on You Tube (until it disappears): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFDiF6xyEg8 16:40 mark – Rob and Benjy Bronk resume the arguing that started during the Howard Stern Show that day (Rob had previously said on Super Fan Round table that he would never hire Benjy because of his constant tardiness) 25:45 mark – Jason Kaplan starts defending Rob and calling Benjy out for seemingly taking full credit for writing the whole Howard Stern Show. Jason also insinuates they’re already auditioning people for Benjy’s job (which Gary denies)
Figures. The Howard Stern show is more censored now than ever. Hell, more edgy material can be regularly found on basic cable these days. I subsribed to Howard tv from 2006 until the agt announcement in december 2011. I cancelled the next day and haven't looked back since.
