I was reading the rundowns last week on Marksfriggin and noticed that Howard told the same old fake story about being recognized and pestered while trying to vote. It always seems to involve black people and/or having his ballot rejected. Here's the one from this year, followed by previous elections. All are remarkably similar: Howard's Voting Experience. 11/05/14. 6:20am Howard said he had to fill in the dots with black and his card got rejected because they weren't dark enough. Robin said the problem is that there are people who are in your way. Robin said she was trying to get to a scanner and there were people in the way. Howard said he walked in and people got excited. He said he's happy about that but he tried to keep his head down trying to vote. Howard said people were trying to talk to him and he had to say he was trying to vote. Howard said you come in and people want to talk. Howard said one guy was retarded and working there. Howard said he was talking loud and saying he had an interaction with him. He said he just wanted to go vote. Howard said he went over and this old black guy said he wanted to take a picture with him. Howard said these were people who worked there too. Election Discussions. 11/07/12. 6:00am Howard said he did his vote and he tried to scan the piece of paper. He said it wouldn't scan. Howard said he got it so wrong. Howard said he walked in and people get so excited. Howard said he didn't want any attention. He said he just wants to walk in get it done. Howard said he asked a cop where to go and he had no idea where to fill it out. Howard said they told him to go to a privacy booth. He said he had to go all the way to the back and he thought he was going to be cutting into a line. Howard said he did the vote and put check marks next to everyone he wanted to vote for. Howard said he voted for people he didn't have a clue about though. He said he voted based on what he had heard about a couple of people. Howard said his ballot was rejected so he had a guy look at it. Howard said the guy told him he had to fill in the dots. Election Results. 11/03/10. 6:00am Howard said he went over with Beth and they were selling coffee and cakes as a fund raiser for the PTA. Howard said there were some women there doing that and he walks in and you'd think that he was like the Beatles. He said he got a lot of reaction from the black people there. They all seem to recognize him. He said he's not sure what to say to these people. He said he shook some hands and got all freaked out by that. Howard said this white lady yells out his name when he walked in. He said he said hi and then they gave him the report about who was voting there. The woman yelled out that Regis had voted there. He said she was yelling at him to buy something from the PTA for the kids. He said he was just there to vote. He didn't want to be bothered. Howard's Voting Adventure. 11/05/08. 6:10am Howard said he went to vote yesterday and this one lady yells out his name as loud as she can. She told him that she didn't know he was in her district. He said he was embarrassed by that and didn't know what to say. He said he moved away from her and did the Howard Stern Shuffle. He said he's perfected that shuffle. He got to a quiet black woman who had no idea who he was. Howard said he was just about to go in the voting booth and this loud woman gets a hold of Beth and starts talking to her about the wedding. She was telling her about her charity and asking her if she was available to come to help her out. Howard said he looked at this woman like she was retarded. Beth started telling her to contact Don Buchwald. He said they're just there to vote and they're being bothered by this woman. Howard said there was a black guy guarding the booth and the woman goes over and tells him that she wants to open the booth for Howard Stern. Howard said they argued about that for a minute. The black guy eventually let him in. Howard's Voting Adventure. 11/08/06. 6:10am Howard said he went to vote yesterday and the place was run by all black ladies. He said that they seemed to love him when he walked in. They were all star struck when he went in there and he got special treatment there. There were no lines when he went to vote because he went in at around 2 in the afternoon. Howard said a woman came up to him and told him that she watches him on TV every night. He said he knew she was lying because he didn't think she even had a TV. He walked into the booth to vote and some old guy walked by and said he doesn't like Howard Stern. He said the woman forgot to reset the booth for the vote so he was yanking on all of the levers until she told him she had to reset it. Howard said it took him like an hour to vote and when he came out he said he thinks he voted not knowing if it was actually going to count. The woman told him that it will count though.
