Howard discussed Spotify today on The Show today. Apple pays Howard to promote products now Spotify!

Will Howard get paid by Pandora next?

Considering that a lot of analysts believe that services like Spotify are a major danger to satellite radios survival Im surprised he would mention them

When Pandora figures out how to actually make money on internet radio Sirius may get concerned.

Wiggy really is an idiot for hyping Spotify over SXM's custom mix MySXM. David Frear is probably having a hissy fit with his panties in a knot over Wiggy's latest comments.

Sirius XM: ‘We’re not worried about Spotify anymore’
Sirius XM, the US-based satellite radio giant, doesn’t consider Spotify or other music services to be true competitors – and it’s stopped worrying about them.

That was the message from Sirius CFO David Frear speaking to investors recently, at a Bank Of America Merill Lynch event listened to by MBW.

Exactly. Apple pays him and hes promoting a rival instead of Apple Music.

He's mentioned a few times that he's hesitant to mention these apps because they're competitors, but he forgets sometimes.

I bet he occasionally gets feedback from executives asking him to please not mention those apps.

But I don't think those apps give him any kickback money. He's just a rich dude that wants to try all of the new things.

Did he give up on STARBUCKS already? I doubt he ever walked into one. Can I tell you a quick story? Howard was amazed that CVS had Swedish Fish by the counter for only a $1 !!!

Robin, Spotify is interested in licensing my entire back catalog. Little do they know it'll be scrubbed clean of everything that was ever interesting or funny. I PRANK. NO ONE ELSE!

He played a couple of tracks that Spotify's algorithm recommended for him, based on his listening habits. He was outraged that it had missed the mark so badly -- it had suggested some crappy techno pop song. Then Robin asked him if he has Britney Spears on his playlist. He said yes. Madonna? Yes. Miley Cyrus? Yep!

I'd say the algorithm got it just right. And I'm sure the computer thinks it's programming songs for a guy who looks like this:
