    From MarksFriggin'

Howard took a call from a guy who asked if he heard that Sirius turned Fred down for One Direction tickets. Fred said that he was told that no Sirius employees were allowed to go. Gary said that they did turn Fred down. Fred said he saw a memo that went out saying that people would be fired if they went. Howard said Fred rarely asks for anything. He said that if there's a shitty One Direction show then let him go. Robin asked why they have to fear being fired. Fred said he doesn't want to say who the person who told him no was. Howard said those people will have their day. He said he has a good idea who that person is. Fred said that he did get tickets for his kid to go see the concert. He said that he didn't get to come up to the Town Hall thing with his daughter though. Howard said there are a lot of people there who are a lot less important to the company than Fred is. Howard said he'd bet that they had their kids there. Howard said he can guess who this person is. He said he thinks about the future and his next 15 moves. He said that they're motherfuckers and scumbags. Howard said they're animals there.

Fire Fred, it'll piss wiggy off. I don't understand why Sirius doesn't do that. Only explanation is that Howard pays his staff directly.

Well. Howard don't pay anyone. Its clearly stated in the contract.
Benjy/Fred/Gary and Robin have "talent" contracts directly with SiriusXM. They are 5 year contracts. So firing them would mean lawsuit.

Artie had a year to year contract, so his contract was simply not re-newed. (= Artie not fired. But not re-signed)

Sirius should fuck with Howard more. All the staff exempt HowardTV people are SiriusXM employes. Sirius should give them order to do other shows and stuff.

If Fred were forced to do a one hour radio show à la Jackie, we would soon see who the real hack is.:D

It was a free invitation to see that group at Sirius, I received the same invite and didn't get picked either although I did go a few other times. They gave me free Sirius coffee mugs, hats, stickers, magnets....

Howard never ceases to amaze with his contradictions. The event Fred wanted to attend was supposed to be for SiriusXM subscribers. In the past (notably the McCartney concert) Howard criticized SiriusXM for giving tickets to employees and VIP's instead of allowing more fans to go. Now they're doing exactly what he said was the right thing to do and he's completely changed his tune. He doesn't give a damn about Fred, what really bothers him is that he doesn't have enough clout to get special treatment for his employees. It's also funny that Howard claims he doesn't understand the hostility towards him. Gee Wiggy, maybe the fact that you're suing them has something to do with it.

    good post. spot on.
also, the band played at other NY and CT venues this month and fred could have bought as many tickets as he wanted.
though i guess that would be with the commoners and not the bigwigs (pun intended)

Dude listen more and post less, Fred did take Tess to the show at the Garden. He just wanted to give her a chance to meet the band at the smaller Sirius gig.

What's your newest outrage, a father trying to do something nice for his daughter?
