How does Sirius allow this? His number 1 priority on the air should be Sirius subscribers and making them happy. Sirius needs to fire Howard's ass for breach of contract and sue him for damages. That would wake his ass up.

The show was really over a long, long time ago. It had been gradually going down hill since the mid 90s but really took a nose dive around early 2010. He pulled this same shit in the late 1990s when he was distracted by the Private Parts movie. That ruined the show in those days as well, but he bounced back. Since the show is already sucking now, his AGT distraction isn't really making it any worse. It is already pretty much rock bottom.

i was going to make a thread about this point but didnt

there must be a clause in Howard's contract that allows him to do this - otherwise Sirius could sue him for selling ad time on their channels, this is a pretty clear legal conflict of interests

I think a thread like that would make for some interesting discussion.

Wait, didn't Howard promise before the vacation that the radio show was his bread and butter and that he would not allow his agt gig to have any negative affect on it?

I was thinking the same thing. Howard must have "carte blanche" of what to talk about during his show, otherwise, Sirius would have gone after him months ago.

I agree- I can't beleive that Sirius stands by and allows it. It is unbelievable. The whole show was AGT and Robin's fake laugh.

This makes total sense but Sirius execs always seem to have their heads up their ass. I can't imagine when they shelled out 80 million a year for this contract that they envisioned 8 hours of programming filling 6 days of airtime but that's what they are getting. And when you think about it that same 8 hours fills up the half the daily programming at H101 as well. And now that eight hours has turned into a long promo for NBC and it's shows.
