I do think that some people need therapy, but I don’t think it is necessary to go see a shrink 3 times a week for over 10 years, or however long it has been. There is a point where you learn to live your own life and handle your own problems. The shrink controls Howard and he must put all kinds of ideas into his head about how Howard is getting dissed and screwed over by everyone in show business, or his employers, and how Howard deserves better. The more Howard goes to the shrink, the more big headed, out of touch, and delusional he gets. I think it is the fault of the therapist for the downward slide of the show. The shrink seems to control Howard, but the shrink's motivation is that he just wants to get paid.
