The Buchwald push is out in full force. Contract talks can't be going well.
Just fire him already..............
stern has no listeners and has to sell squatty potties
How can you say that? He had Rock and Roll Hall Of Famer Madonna in the studio today!
did they mention sim cards?
I don't care where he goes but, wherever he goes, I hope he fails.
@3:55 "he's getting A list celebrates he couldn't get 10 years ago" he is only getting Madonna cause she is old and irrelevant and howard is PC and a celebrity ass kisser
If Howard truly thinks "his audience will follow him wherever he goes" -- and that involves paying a single extra cent for his program -- he's delusional.
nobody is going to follow Wiggy anywhere even for free. who is going to sit around and listen to repeats of old radio shows. nobody. " it's over Johnny"doesn't even begin to cover how over it really is
The Howard/Buchwald game plan won't work this time around. He will have to actually stand on his performance.
Someone at Sirius must know who actually listens to that show daily. That would should base their offer to him. He might not like it but he won't bluff his way through this time.
Either Howard's audience isn't large enough to make a difference any more or it doesn't exist. If people were "following him wherever he goes", AGT would have gained viewers when he joined the show (not lost them) and his Letterman appearances wouldn't be losing to Leno reruns.
AGT is the only metric which shows the power of Stern, as his radio show no longer has public ratings.
Tuna and Felix are just guessing like everyone else - no one knows Stern's current comp numbers from his current Sirius deal or how many people would cancel monthly subs if Howard no longer did his 110 shows per year. Whichever of those "experts" mentioned late night television as an option must be talking about some obscure cable channel rather than a big network.
Bravo - "Watch What Happens Plausibly Live", 2 days a week.
I got fucked in one of his "commercial free" Revolutions already and i guarantee it wont ever happen again!
Shouldn't they say that "Howard gets celebrities that were A Listers ten years ago"?
Notice how most of the media people who argue that Sirius cannot survive without him are writers/analysts who are fans? You can tell because they know stuff about the show that they wouldn't know if they didn't listen.
All these guys tout Howard's ability to get big-name guests nowadays like it's a great thing. Like he didn't compromise everything about his show that earned him his listeners in the first place in order to get those guests. Like his listeners give a damn about hearing Howard and Robin tumble over themselves when these guests are there (and often denounce everything bad they ever said about the guest up until that moment). Like whatever these guests are promoting gain any kind of momentum as a result of subjecting themselves to the therapist's couch for an hour plus. Like these guests aren't doing Howard's show between another SiriusXM show and a podcast session.
Yep, and it's clear none of these "experts" realize that a huge portion of Howard's former fan base considers his time at Sirius to be a complete failure and a staggering disappointment. They won't be following him anywhere, they know he's a liar and a fraud who can't be trusted to follow through on his promises.
