I can't tell if it's a lazy time-killer, a homo-erotic military obsession, an unfunny joke I'm not in on, or something else. I just feel angry and generally uneasy when Zvi goes into this schtick.

Robin? This joke has worked for me for over 30 years, I don't understand why the audience doesn't get it anymore? I mean, I think the vietnam joke is as iconic as "Take my wife; please", without the huge penis that Milton Berle had...right Robin? Robin?

I think it's a lame attempt to be controversial. None of it is funny and I don't understand why he keeps talking about killing children. It's just not funny.

He is reverting to stuff that worked at one point out of shear panic he knows he isn't funny and has run out of shut to talk about

When things go bad I always have shit to rant about but if all is well I have nothing to say

I think it funny that Howard has become what he used always complain about with his competitors. He is stealing from himself and recycling old bits from the glory days of the 90s. The whole Benjy getting a finger up his ass was stolen from Scott getting fucked in the ass for money.

It's the new Ted Kennedy bit. Makes me want to smash my head against the wall. It's a sad attempt to be edgy. :banghead:

The only thing he knows for sure is what the inside of his ass looks like. His head has been firmly wedged up there for years. The Vietnam bit was never funny and insulting to those who did go.

Could his stories on Vietnam be considered "stolen valor"? Some people of low intelligence might even believe what he is saying.

And the amount of time he 'performs' this bit, it just goes on and on. His ad libbing ability is gone or never was there. He needs writers!!!!! And I don't mean benji and fred. I'm talking, Jackie chair.

I heard it today when I turned it on. I thought what the fuck, a replay from yesterday. I'm sure Howard worked so hard on the jet ride from california honing his vietnam bit that he wasn't going to waste a drop of his scribbling

The fake army bits weren't that funny when he did them years ago - you'd think his talented writing team could come up with some fresh material especially since Howard only does a few shows each week.

It's pretty lazy to keep recycling old stuff, especially since some of the guests that young and hip Howard has booked recently (like the Imagine Dragons guys) weren't even alive when the war ended.
