How could he leave out "Amercia's Judge" http://www.parade.com/16828/howiema...something-totally-new-to-americas-got-talent/ I feel the hardest thing to do in judging is honesty. It’s easy to tell someone you love what they do, that they’re great, and that they’re really talented; it’s the honesty that’s the hardest. Having seen a lot, it’s going to take a lot to drop my jaw. But I have to say that his season, more than any other season, my jaw has dropped more—I’ve seen things that can’t be put into categories. When it comes to entertainment, I don’t have favorites. I have the widest, most tolerant, and varied taste, and maybe that’s what’s useful for me as far as being a judge. Anytime I see something I’ve never seen before, they become my new favorites. Being an insomniac and watching TV in the middle of the night helps, too. I’ve seen it all! I watch television that’s not even in English because I’m fascinated by people getting up, putting themselves out there, and trying to do something, even when I don’t understand what they’re trying to do. Anytime someone shows me something different and my jaw drops and I go, “How did you even think of that?†Or, “I don’t even know how to react to that.†In that moment, you become my new favorite thing. I was concerned about having four judges this season rather than three, but I think it works out well. Each of them adds something totally different and totally new. It’s very different than it was last season. I believe they have constructive input you wouldn’t hear from anybody else but themselves. If you look at each of them, Mel B has been part of one of the most successful pop groups of the last three decades, and Heidi is not only stunning—I mean, she can just sit there and I find that incredibly entertaining—but aside from that, she’s very smart and an entrepreneur who can market and create. You have to be lucky that whatever tickles your fancy appeals to a wide audience. Heidi Klum and Mel B know how to market to international audiences, whether in fashion, TV, or music. That’s what we’re looking for: Something that can be launched and become a household name and an international act.
