what are the alternatives to satellite? and what are the platforms? people mention individual podcasts but where can i get programs on live radio? do i have to search out individual shows on different terrestrial networks? or does a platform like i heart radio have them in one place.
i'm not interested in the music, i love the political/chat/entertainment shows.

    thank you in advance.

If this is the case, you want live radio and you don't want to deal with podcasts.. stick with Satellite.

I use TuneIn Radio on my phone, to stream sports talk and the occasional podcast. I have unlimited data on Sprint, so I don't worry about driving around all day with it on.

You can find plenty of talk radio on the AM dial.

Completely disagree, podcasts are the best. It's free content that has almost no restrictions on content(with a few exceptions if you're DL them from ITunes) and it's definitely more current than anything that fatso fraud Quivers reports
    In her "News" segments

That's good. We wouldn't want you not having your sports talk while delivering pizzas all day.

I listened to every single one of these over a two day period. Even the guests I shouldn't have liked were great. He gets a little too crude at times but other than the show's excellent.

agreed. TuneIn is a very simple app, and if you like a certain talking head you can follow them and the app will tell you when/where they are on.

you still get commercials, but that's nothing diff from sirius talk channels. save the cash and make sure to tell them you're cancelling due to McWiggy's lack of content.

Saturday is Handel on the Law day, makes me laugh more than wig has in years.

Quite frankly, before I cancelled Sirius years ago, the talk stations had just about the same amount of commercials as terrestrial did. ESPN was terrible.

For most of my podcast listening I use Stitcher, for Shoutcast.com I use xiaa and switch the directory to Shoutcast. Tunein is another good app to check out.

This is why I didn't keep Sirius just for the music and talk. The music channels are on auto-play too often. It got to the point where I knew what song was coming next. The talk had as many commercials as terrestrial. Howie turned into Wiggy McChinimplant, so why bother keeping the service?

Perhaps you should slow down and read what you are replying to next time.

Are there any other non generic shows left on radio? FM has gotten atrocious.
