I am for the first time diving into some O&A clips.

I was a Stern listener up to the point when Artie quit, then it became boring, and I literally haven't listened to anything but select clips on Youtube of Stern since Artie quit.

So, I was one of the people who "hated" O&A because that's what Stern fans did.

So far I've only listened to some bits with Jim Norton where he gets pissed off about various things, which is pretty hilarious shit.

Can anyone recommend any good segments which are perhaps regarded as "classic" that are on Youtube I might enjoy? I like listening to this stuff at work.

Also, I'm curious...what is with the sort of strange way they all speak? I cannot quite put my finger on it, but they all end their words in sort of a halting way...kinda like they put a little emphasis on the end of words. I'm just trying to figure out if that's a regional accent of some kind.

I find it hilarious whenever Norton "Ramones" somebody. The (HIV) Positive Cabbie stands out in my mind, but there are a bunch of good ones.

Any clips with Colin Quinn, Patrice Oneal, Rich Vos, and Norton on simultaneously are usually gold.

Take this funny clip, for instance. Anyone who is a regular listener probably doesn't even hear it, but it stands out to me.

Okay, I got something completely wrong. It's the emphasis they put on the first letter of words. Straight from the first seconds of the video I hear it.

"Oh the Cleaning guy Coming Today I Think."

"It was Just you and a Gun and Boots in the kitchen."

They all sort of have the same affect with it. But then some clips I don't hear it. I just thought it sounded unique is all.

Okay, I hear it. I think it's just a comic / morning zoo affectation, intended to draw attention to the speaker even when only a mundane thought is being presented. That clip is almost entirely Norton and I didn't make it past 4 minutes, but the other guys hardly spoke. The speech pattern didn't bother me in the least. I suspect it's a part of Norton's comedic persona and maybe the others tend to mimic it?

Yeah, you're probably right. Oh, it doesn't bother me at all, it just for whatever reason stood out to me on several of the videos I listened to.

Also, thanks everyone for the videos, I will listen to some at work tomorrow.

I usually tell any of my friends transferring from stern to go with some big comedians who also did stern perfect examples are Colin Quinn and Jim bruer both of them really kill it esp bruer. It's great to hear them just get a chance to be themselves an funny. First try bruer razor board ad then try bruer and the pizza guy good luck man

This is one that I heard when I first started listening and it still makes my lungs hurt.

Also look up Jim's characters like Boardroom Jimmy, Uncle Paul, Chip Chipperson and the greatest: Steve from Yellowstone (RAMONE).
