Hey Bearscat!! Whats new with you dude? Hope all is well.
Hope you're still alive to check in with your medical advisors here on the internet. If you can feel the beats, they're probably ventricular in origin. As mentioned, caffeine is a common cause, as is alcohol (so-called holiday heart). Another common cause is bronchitis. If the palpitations are regular, like every 3rd or 4th beat or every other, then that's more serious. These things can be nothing or they can be something. but ot's best to get it figured out.
If you can't feel the beats, but your pulse is fast and irregular, it is probably atrial in origin, and this always needs to be figured out sooner rather than later. It usually means your atria are fibrillating and this puts you at some risk for stroke. Plus you need to figure out why they're doing that.
I'm guessing yours is the first kind. Not having chest pain is a good sign, by the way, but you might try to figure it out before you get there. Good luck!
Hate will do that to ya, man
ben roethlisberger is better than you.
