they're in the same ballpark as the Nest as far as pricing, and no forced influence from Google.

I like them much better than the nest. The next looks great but the footprint is small and I would have had to patch up a little where our builder special t-stats were. I'm not good with patching and matching texture... Glad I waited...

Plus, it's nice to be a lazy ass and just yell at it to warm up or cool down the room...

I've heard nothing but good stuff about them. These were ridiculously easy to set up and get connected to the wifi/cloud. The filtrete 3M-50's I'm taking out were a complete pain in the ass to get set up properly...

Plus, our elec. co. Is handing out $50 rebates on each one bought.... Sealed the deal....

I installed the Nest smoke alarms for similar reasons: every time the battery died in the older alarms i had to bat them off the celing with a broom at 2am to stop the alarm. with the Nest i can just wave my hand at it to shut the alarm now.

If you had an Apple, all you'd have to do is plug it in, and it works.

You just admitted to us all last week that you become out of breath from simple things such as moving. :c
Yeah, you know you fucked up and shit.

I have the Hue lighting system from Philips that works with my Iphone. It's simple, plug and play. I didn't have to do shit but unwrap it and take it out of the box.
