and now I am convinced I want to adopt someday....

anyone here have any experience with adoptions?

    do you regret it?

    do you love it?

I would love to adopt an older kid(s)

Oh I am talking about years from now...

You're in the perfect place. Just grab any of the waitress' there. I'm sure they all have kids and no husband and would love someone to take responsibility for their kid.

Flying on planes every other day convinces me to never have kids. The parents usually look worn out, defeated and over it all.

I'm enough of an asshole to take care of, don't need any additional.

1 -- That kid looks like Al Sharpton and Tawanna Brawley's love child... sorry, kid.

2-- Save yourself hundreds of thousands of dollars, your sanity, and be able to enjoy the prime of your life...

    adopt a dog or two.

It's a total racket. Even the poor countries that allow international adoptions try to string people along for 1-2 years so they can keep flying back and forth and spend $$$ in their local economy.

You might find this investigative series interesting.

    http://www.reuters.com/investigates/adoption/#article/part1

It goes into adoption loopholes in the U.S. and how kids are traded off underground all the time with just a quick signature on a piece of paper.

you should really consider this, cause most people don't want to adopt an older kid, so the price shouldn't be to high. heres wha t i found online

Costs for an adoption vary widely from $0 to $50,000 depending on the type of adoption pursued. It generally costs from $0 to $1,000 to adopt a child from a County Foster/Adopt program. These children are often older, but sometimes infants are placed.

A voluntary adoption of a newborn through a non-profit agency will generally cost between $10,000 and $25,000. Attorney adoptions of newborns generally run from $20,000 to $30,000.

Good for you. Adoption is a pretty generous act.
