    clinical depression (which can be helped with the appropriate pharmaceuticals.......sometimes)

    then there's the waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa my life sucks i'm fucked type of depression that can also be treated with "other" pharmaceuticals

    either way you're pretty much fucked

    i think the two types are (1) everyone else' depression, and (2) I'm too depressed to care about #1

    of course. most people's lives suck so it would go to reason if you got clinical depression the 2nd one follows or was there to begin with

    this is the best God could come up with huh?

    I think a lot of depression is due to physical inactivity. Your body, if not used and worked, starts to send bad biochemistry to your brain.

    Time enough to brood is a problem. For almost all of human history, people had to work physically hard just to survive. It seems logical that over time, our minds and bodies would optimize to that condition to make you better able to live.

    I know that personally for me, regular exercise keeps me much more content and relaxed than anything else I've tried.
