    But I actually have to ask for help from posters from the beautiful city :puke: of Philadelphia

    I'm looking for tips on how to make the perfect homemade and authentic Philly cheesesteak. Particularly as it pertains to type of cheese, but also things like, does the cut of beef matter, etc.

    I don't know which ones of you are from that wonderful place though. @Tuesday? @DrSublux ?

    Get some good steak. Slice into very thin strips. Fry with onions and peppers. Add some cheese, provolone or something. Enjoy.

    Careful, people from Philly will tell you there is no way you can replicate their local cuisine, and if you try, they'll somewhat impolitely let you know you've fucked up. I made a "tomato pie" (cold pizza with no cheese, basically) for a friend from Philly a few months ago, and she was like, eh, it's not the same. Yes it is, god dammit.

    I'm not making them Miss Mayonnaise is, but I need to help her because she's not an awesome cook like I am

    She told me that you're supposed to use provolone on cheesesteaks and I was all like HA HA THAT IS ADORABLE BUT NO
