Bread goes on top of the microwave peanut butter in the pantry strawberry preserves in the fridge,butter in or out of fridge.

Peanut butter in the fridge - especially all natural types or other butters (like almond) because all the oils separate and it is a bitch to mix it back together again.
Bread - On the counter. You should be eating it within the week so soft bread is safe to eat.
