i'm trying to figure out a way to get the poor and middle-class to pay them for me :
have them buy all the tickets but for your winning one
The man will be there waiting for you with the check
i mean, you do know that's why they call the lottery a tax on dumb people, right?
Kinda like religion
A partner that I work with has represented 10+ lottery winners in the last few years...none of which were people who won above $10 million but still a lot of money.
The amount of family/friends that flock to the winners is always what shocks me....even people with 1 brother and no other family have family you didnt know existed at his door the next door demanding money.
You mean outside the states where the funding of the lottery tickets go to school funds (Georgia Colleges), helping Veterans with disabilities (New Jersey), etc....?
You have to already be rich to avoid taxes. New money bend over.
that's what howard stern's father always said
they withhold 25% automatically for the feds
there's no state tax on lottery winnings in NJ
i would take the annuity and get 18.3 mill a year before fed tax
let's say the bush tax cuts expire and i end up paying 39% that's 7.1 mill in taxes
it will be very difficult but i think i can squeeze by on 11 mill cash every 12 months for 30 years
weren't you just proposing a 99% tax rate in another thread? how much would you get to keep if that went into effect?
dats a goood wun
actually i said 95% and 99% on liberal actors and athletes
can't you people get anything right ?
and i also said "until the country is fixed"
considering i'd take the annuity, i'd be in a 95% tax rate for a year at best
and before you start crying "taxing the rich alone can't fix the country" don't leave out everything else i typed
i know you fools all too well
18 million a year doesn't qualify for the 95% tax bracket? or do you mean the country would be fixed in just 1 year?
