I think it's going to be a really wonderful film.
Lines around the block.
I didn't know it was a remake
I am so uncultured.
i can wait. Danny Kaye was multi talented. Ben Stiller is barely a comedian, a totally forgettable actor, and a marginal director, simply because he has family connections in Hollywood. To me Ben Stiller is the poster boy for the crop of otherwise failed 1980s stand up comedians, and his Ann Meara was far and away the better comic in the family.
Danny Kaye used to beat Larry Olivier's cock like it owed him money, rest their souls
I didn't know 3:10 to Yuma was a remake and I felt like a dope when my mom told me that. I thought the True Grit remake was way better than the one with John Wayne.
Okay, severely obscure film question, but did you ever see her in the Tim Conway film "The Longshot?" She was so good in that.
Jeff bridges is the man
i loved the true grit remake, but i have a tough time comparing it to the original because i saw no one on the screen of the remake who commanded every scene he was in. i think the remake got especially lucky when they found Haliee Steinfield.
i honestly don't recall the movie, but given the cast i must have seen it. there is no way i would have passed up tim conway and harvey korman in the same show. i would have to see it just to watch conway make korman break character.
Did you see that RIPD piece of garbage that came out a few months back? It was like a Western Men in Black.
And Jonathan Winters is in it, too. It was $5 at Walgreen's, I think.
i was hoping for so much more from it but it was so lame. you go to see a Bridges movie and you know that if he gets good material he will make it shine, and instead they gave him shit to work with.
I didn't see it. I might get it on Redbox. I like him in most anything, though. I even liked him in the last Tron movie that came out.
I'm not paying to go watch a PG rated movie at the theater.
he was good in the last tron movie, although most of the scenes were action and he was CGI'ed into them.
no, it will be on netflix within 4 weeks. none of Stiller's movies last long at the box office.
Glenn Ford was in the original Yuma. one of my favorite westerns. and you're right about True Grit. John Wayne was a horrendous actor
I haven't seen a lot of his older films, but I was watching The Alamo the other day and I did not think he was very good.
