I was very angry at the Stern show for about 3 years. I won't list all of the reasons why, because they're repeated ad-nauseam here 24/7. I had an epiphany, though, yesterday as I was listening to old shows. I thought, "why can't Howard just do what he was doing in 1999?" I realized it's because he just doesn't want to anymore. It doesn't matter why. And that is that. We shouldn't be angry, we should be sad. This was the greatest comedy show of all time, and it'll be a lot easier to swallow by just pretending that it's off the air. Howard won't do us the favor by leaving, thereby saving us from having to witness his embarrassing stumbles through the Hamptons (and now Palm Beach) Jungle(s). So, bye Howard. I appreciate all of the entertainment that you gave us. I just hope that someday I'll be able to explain the greatness of the show to other people without having to explain the last few years of your behavior.
