Holy fucking masterpiece, Batman!
liked it too, but a little slow the second time around.
You saw it 2x already?! Damn I went to an executive screening at Warner Bros tonight - they haven't had any other screenings except for the press junket (which they had to screen twice - hint hint). I am watching dark knight at home now and can't wait to go see TDKR again!
Oh wait I can't see what pic you posted on my iPad.
sorry, i guess i got confused. i meant the second one, i saw that one twice.
I am excited to see this in two months when there are no crowds and I can get free tickets.
Oh - the new one is (don't say amazing don't say amazing) tremendous
i don't think you need to wait 2 month. movies die down a lot after second weekend.
I'll see it eventually and I have little doubt I'll enjoy it, despite the fact that super hero movies are always hit or miss with me, but that 2 hour and 45 minute runtime gives me the douchenozzle chills.
I can see full well why Lord Of The Rings or another comic book movie like Watchmen needed that long (actually needed much longer-Watchmen should've been an extended mini-series on HBO instead of a theatre movie) but 2 hours and 45 minutes for a Batman story in a comic book movie? Do they really need to be closer to 3 hours instead of 2?
I can already see what they're gonna when a version of Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns hits the screen eventually.
They'll divide it into 2 movies which is the rage nowadays to maximize profits (Harry Potter, Twilight, Hunger Games, The Hobbit) and both will clock in at 2:30+ with over 5 hours of a movie that just isn't that intricate and doesn't need it.....
So, like, he dies, right? I don't want to see Batman die...
(not a spoiler; haven't seen it or plan to see it)
funny, i thought the same thing. i guess the ending of the second one and the trailers of the third insinuate that he will make the ultimate sacrifice for gotham.
Limbaugh says it's about Romney.
"Do you think it is accidental that the name of the really vicious fire-breathing, four-eyed whatever-it-is villain in this movie is named Bane?"
The RUMOR (not spoiler) I read months ago is that the kid from 3rd Rock From The Son trains to become the new Batman, which is fine, I guess, but I have no desire to see Bruce Wayne be killed, by Bane or anyone else. Whatever, I found Dark Knight nearly unwatchable and don't want to see this one.
"lets all get naked to celebrate!!!"
just went to his site.
RUSH: I even said yesterday at the end of my whole Batman discussion that Batman is more like Romney. I made the point that the rich, wealthy hero in the Batman movie is more like Romney and that the Bane guy seems more like an Occupy Wall Street guy. And yet here I am supposedly articulating a conspiracy between the comic book creators and the Obama campaign, that somehow they created this villain with the same name as Romney's venture capital company, private equity company.
Watch out. The cyber dorks will come after you. The director already defends it.
Backtracking. He also didn't call that girl a slut the way everyone heard.
Whoops, 3rd Rock From the SUN. Stupid audible brain.
