I'm sick of paying Verizon over $100 a month for my smartphone!!

My contract's up in February. Can anyone suggest a cheaper option?

Whether it's a competing network or a pre-paid service or whatever..

[h=1]Obamacare phones? Tennesseans offered smartphones for health care registration.[/h]
Community Health Alliance, Tennessee’s Obamacare health insurance co-op, is offering free smartphones to those who register, as long as they “pledge to stay connected for better health,” the Nashville Business Journal reported.
As part of its Community Health Connection Program, CHA is offering “eligible” individuals smart phones, including unlimited talk, unlimited texting and 1.2GB of data, as part of their health care plans, the report said.

SEE ALSO: Obama now says Obamacare will bring months of ‘glitches’

“Members will have the phone number for their CHA representative pre-loaded in their phones and can quickly get answers to questions about their policies,” CHA Chief Operating Officer Judy Slagle said in a statement. “At the same time, we will be able to connect with our members by phone, by email or by text almost instantly with health tips and reminders.”
To be eligible for a phone, members must pay the first month’s premium, select a primary care physician from CHA’s network, and sign an agreement pledging “to stay connected for better health” within 90 days, the Nashville Business Journal reported.
To stay in the program, members must also visit their primary care physician within 180 days of coverage start date.
“Members must act on their pledge,” said CEO Jerry Burgess. “They have 180 days to see their doctor. For people who haven’t had health insurance, this is a critical step. They will be able to work with their doctor to make a plan to improve their health.”

Was with Verizon for 15+ years... Finally got fed up with their high prices & other peripheral bullshit..... Went to T-mobile, and couldn't be happier ..... For what I was paying for ONE phone line with Verizon, I'm now getting unlimited everything (including data) on my iPhone, and 4.5 gigs of data for my iPad ..... I've not had one dropped call, or any other coverage issue with either device ....

Before I went to T-Mobile, I tried Sprint .....their coverage was absolutely atrocious. Didn't last more than a week with them ...Fuck Sprint and Fuck Verizon

Straight Talk $45 a month unlimited talk & text. Internet not unlimited and does not allow for tethering. Sometimes they run specials where you can get a free (reconditioned) Smartphone. Had Verizon for about 14 years prior to it.

This. And they actually use the Verizon network so you get the same great coverage for half the price and no contract. I switched from Verizon a year ago and it's one of the best decisions I've ever made. Anyone who doesn't use straight talk is an ignoranus.

Only in select parts of the country ... In other parts (like where I am) they use the Sprint Network... Same with Boost Mobile
