YAWN! From all the excerpts and reviews so far, we have already heard the same stories over and over. Save your money.

I disagree. I've read quite a bit of it and so far, there have been many revelations.

If you're poor, go to your library.

If you're an asshole, pirate Art's book.

One important detail, the books pretty much wraps up with the events of a few years ago. Understandable given as he's still under contract, but with a few exceptions there is precious little time spent on Artie's life since 2010. There is much stuff regarding Adrienne (the book is essentially a love letter to her) and his adventures in Paris last year are recounted in detail. His job at DirectTV is skated over. Nick DiPaolo is mentioned maybe twice in the entire book. It can't touch Too Fat to Fish, but I guess the die-hard Artie fans will enjoy it.

At the end, he does mention a couple of people who did him wrong, people with recognizable names who screwed him over during his whole ordeal. Wonder who they are.

I have to guess it's Teddy, DTSPM, Cabbie, and maybe KC.

Maybe. From the context it sounded like people not mentioned or named anywhere else in the book.

The part about Mitch Heberg seems inaccurate to say the least, he was married to Lynn Shawcroft who is still very much alive.

Kinda bogus that Art didn't do the audio book himself, the guy they hired to do the reading doesn't have the right voice for the material.

For Too Fat to Fish he used the illiterate Bob Levy.

The story at the end of the book where he insists on playing quarterback in the beach bowl really pissed me off. He makes them take out the quarterback who happens to be Joe fucking Montana otherwise he refuses to play. This after reading through chapter after chapter that sounded more like Bochetti wrote it, making his mom drive to the pharmacy in a blizzard and not even help shovel or anything, not getting out of bed for months at a time, basically making your poor mother take care of you like you are a baby again because you are sad:endit: And after all that he gets another show right away. During those whiney chapters he kept talking about how much he fucked up and how he hopes he gets another chance; and then he does and acts like a a complete douche. Pissing in trash cans and expecting it cleaned up, and at the beach bowl after being paid by directv to be there he still has to act like a fuckhead to make sure he gets his way. I like Artie and I liked his show but no wonder he got cancelled. I'm sure there is a lot more stories about him acting like a dick that didn't make it into the book.

Artie is a dick. Artie is marginally funny and only in the right environment. Artie epitomizes what is wrong with people today. Worldly to a fault. Pat themselves on the back if they do anything remotely like a human being instead of a maggot. People to them are worth what they look like or the size of their bank account or fame. Nothing more. Lip service is paid to little people but they despise them. Artie hates Artie because deep down, Artie knows Artie.
