You know, the guy who used to sing in that metal band Skid Row in the 80's. A band that opened for Guns 'n Roses for an entire tour and filled up entire stadiums for years. I saw him with his new band in a small club that held maybe 200 people. Most of the crowd was in their late thirties, and some of them came out in full-blown 80's panther print pants and denim jackets with band patches on them. The atmosphere was friendly and cool and I shot the shit with a bunch of these old rockers and bought people around me a couple of beers before the show started. The band came out and put on a great energetic show and they really gave it all they got. I was surprised Sebastian looked pretty good, considering the insane amount of drugs and booze went through him all these years. People were smoking weed inside (it was in Amsterdam, so what do you expect?) and the joint got passed on to the band and they smoked it on stage. It was a pretty funny moment. I enjoyed the show and it was fun and great to hear a lot of songs that I listened to a lot in the past live. Definitely worth the €25. But still, the whole thing was kinda sad, you know? I mean, the guy used to be a larger than life superstar. Now he's back to playing small clubs again.
