Do you really enjoy the show now that he is gone??
If so, you are a humorless boring fuck
The show was better with Artie. Is that what you wanted to hear?
you prove my point
So? What's your point?
I'm assuming by your second statement that you intended your question to be rhetorical?
Show was better with Artie, but the same could be said for George Takai. Artie isn't that funny. Stupid redneck voice and Godfather impression... Not fun and not funny.
If your jock itch went away and you got cancer later, would you enjoy the cancer?
Artie's laugh.....that's what I miss
Artie was a perfect fit on the Stern show. He's not the strongest stand-up or host, but as a sidekick, he really shined. I stopped listening completely after Howard finally admitted he wasn't interested in having Artie on the show again in any capacity. It had sucked since he left, anyway.
Artie was okay as an additional voice on the show but, for me, he was hit or miss.
Some days he was great, some days he was an incredible bore.
Either way, I haven't listened in years and wouldn't start again if he came back.
It's over for me.
the show is unlistenable but that has nothing to do with artie's "departure"...he was an OK fill-in for the first year but his gambling, drugs, sports, and hookers chatter bored me to tears. then when he started to come in high not only were the same three stories he always told crushingly dull, but his timing was off.
i realize he was brought in for the young male demo, yet that doesn't stop me from enjoying O&A (now anthony).....and i always loved jackie, john, KC etc.
i think artie under different circumstances and with different material could be funny (i hated his new joisey italian schtick)there were times i was shocked he knew some cultural references which stupid people generally don't know.
maybe i'm just always wishing for another george carlin to come along.
It was so infectious!
