The guests were good, definitely. The production was off, and I can guarantee Howard is absolutely ripshit about the audience chatter during some of his interviews. I can only guess that the audience was not given proper sound to the event and couldn't hear so they simply chatted and drank. This is explained by the headphones given out to the guests so they could hear the show (completely unprofessional production in that regard --- and I'd be pissed too). -Jewel, Jimmy and Robert Downey on stage all said the audience was being horrible. Again, this will stick with Howard. The transition from entertainers and jokes to guests that Howard went into interviewing was odd. That was exacerbated by the sound delivery I mention above. Howard is terrible when he is not in control and has to answer to jokes from others that he is not prepared for. I'm not judging negatively because the show was overall good, just observing an obvious fact. His expertise is being in the studio and being in control of prearranged questions. Kudos to Dave for giving an extremely honest interview. Again, Howard will be ripshit the sound fucked that interview up. He'll get him in studio though and do the same questions over (like he does with all his recent guests of the past 3 years --- Joanne Rivers / Jonny Carson, Jonah Hill making prank calls with Dustin Hoffman, etc). Sarah Silverman is funny as always. Louie CK was funny. I read another thread that he bombed on purpose. I'd like to believe he didn't --- he was just being eccentric. Definitely not his typical stuff but whatever, he was just being casual. The music was fucking good for the most part. Real good. Steven Tyler came through in the end of his song but he was really going overdramatic in the beginning of dream on as if he was a drunk...but his voice came out of nowhere and nailed all the screams. John Mayer was good. Train was good. Fogerty was good. Whoever I'm missing --- they were all good. Grohl of course. Maybe except for Black Keys...they have a handful of songs and I think Lonely Boy has been horribly overplayed for the past 2 years. They have blues rock skills and did not show it. Jeff Ross / Joan Rivers were great. They should have gone more. Howard thanking Booey at the end was very nice. His drawn out thank you crap got old though with the endless names. Anything else?
