    I know it's off topic, but I need to rant.

    Friday we picked up, uhm rescued, a 5 y.o. pug from a family who claimed scheduling difficulties as reason to give him up. They didn't ask for anything, just wanted a good home. Yes it felt weird and I know a 'middle aged' dog comes with complications. But I wanted this dog to get out of this home ASAP, and with good reason.

    This morning we took him to the vet; he has been neglected, an untreated ear infection which makes him deaf in one ear. Hopefully treatment will resolve it.
    Damaged cornea in one eye, also untreated, so now his tear ducts aren't working, and both eyes are infected. He's extremely nearsighted. Hopefully the treatment will work and the other eye might recover.

    Some of his teeth are rotten, some need to be removed. But right now we're treating the eyes n ears.

    The anger and the sadness that I'm feeling, ugh, who does this to a living creature.
    But I'm also happy, he's the sweetest most mellow dog. He's mah baby.

    They had named him 'Boy', but the BF and I found that inappropriate for a black dog, heh.
    We've decided on Milan, because his coloring has some red in it. Black/Red = AC Milan

    No sexay shopped pix, but here's Milan in all his cuteness.
