I was watching ESPN Classic last night

    ...and they were showing reruns of the original Battle of the Network Stars. I remember this show fondly from about the time I was hitting puberty. :jerk:

    The episode I was watching had Catherine Bach, Charlene Tilton and Randi Oates on it amongst others. I remember they used to air reruns of it on Saturdays on ABC Wide World of Sports. My favorite event was the dunk tank, for obvious reasons.

    Does anyone remember the original that aired in the 70s-early 80s? Not the crappy remake they tried to make more recently.

    What made it great was it had all the biggest stars on TV at the time. Not a bunch of crappy d-list no names.

    I remember Lynda Carter doing it once and her in a wet bathing suit was a sight to behold as a preteen.

    That brings back another childhood memory. Do you remember The Baseball Bunch?

    It used to run on Saturdays too. Johnny Bench hosted it and Tommy Lasorda used to make appearances as some kind of baseball wizard guy.

    The San Diego Chicken was on it too.
