i've never seen ramps or garlic mustard or wild asparagus in a store and store bought asparagus and green onions or leeks don't even taste at all like wild ramps or wild asparagus.

Refrain from eating the wild ones then the store ones will be the best you ever tasted.

Morels are incredibly expensive if you can find them in a store. They are delicious though. Dink, find yourself a woods where a lot of trees have fallen and there is a lot of rotten wood on the ground. Morels like that soft, woody ground.

I had a garden a few years ago and planted mint. Now it's spread to half my back yard. Whenever I mow the lawn it smells like Wrigley's Spearmint Gum.

i know they love dead elm trees. my b-i-l used to talk about how the morels were out but back then i wasn't interested. now i am, so i'm hitting him up next spring for his morel spots. i can't wait.

another friend has some spots where she gets chicken of the woods mushrooms, so i'm going to go out with her. i think she found some just recently, so i can maybe get in on some this fall, yet.

nom nom nom. i love the smell of mint.

i actually would love to find some sweet grass growing wild. it's hard to find around here and people really guard their known patches to prevent others from raiding it. i know lots of places with tons of wild blueberries. nom...wild blueberries.

i definitely need help with the wild asparagus. :cheer:
