....Howard ever misses the fun he used to have on the show. Like when Billy was there or his "think tank" ranked on people, or when Stuttering John would ask Ringo questions, or when Artie used to Imitate the Iron Sheik.

He's blocked all that out and somehow convinced himself that what he's doing now is right. His inner sycophant controls him.

At this point I don't think he cares about doing good radio. He's monsterously well paid just to show up. Why make a real effort?

I don't think he remembers or even cares for that matter.
    It's like he's a different person.

It's like you could hear that they were really cracking up back then. Even Robin, you could tell when she was really laughing because she thought the guys were funny as opposed to just cackling away.

To Howard getting overpaid is fun. So he's having more fun now.

He lives in a Castle by the Sea and a triple level NYC Penthouse, everything else is just time killing.

he had more fun in any 10 minutes of jackies parties, than all of these celebrity parties combined.

whether he realizes that no one knows

I think Howard has truly convinced himself that show is better now. He's pretty embarrassed over how he used to bash celebrities, and told too many non pc jokes that are frowned at in the circles he now runs in.

The shame Howard feels was evident everytime Artie would call out Howard's evovlving attitudes and changed in opinions, while Howard would sit there and deny his past behavior.

I'll say this though. I don't think I have heard Howard truly laugh out loud uncontrollably since Artie left the show.
