Would you watch your countrymen die for their offenses?
Depends on who it is and what they did.
I think it would depend on who it was. We had a guy, David Westerfield, that repeatedly raped and killed a six year girl not far from where I lived at the time. As a father of two I'd love to see him fry.
I would pull the switch on that Castro guy.
Sorry, didn't realize the thread was published before I gave the poll options.
Lets take it a step further and have them fight gladiator style. I'd pay to watch that.
Depends what's on TV. Are there souveniers? Does the front row have to cover itself in plastic like a Gallagher II show? Do kids get to keep any body parts that go out of play like baseball, or do they have to return them like football? Or are there nets or plexiglass in place to protect the crowd from shrapnel? Are there seat giveaways? T-shirt cannons? Real cannons? Nick Cannon?
Man, the possibilities are endless. YOU BET I'M IN!!!
You need another choice: "No. I just don't find executions entertaining. Get it over with and move on."
I think that'd fall under the last option. No?
Thanks! I learned something today. Too bad that I'm drinking and won't remember it...
no unless it's burning @ the stake
Realistically though, I don't get caught up in the vitriol of every crime like Nancy Grace. I just kinda accept that there are bad people out there and that bad things happen to good people. As long as it doesn't effect me personally, I can pretty much detach myself from things.
I don't wanna be the guy buying tickets and planning my weekend around an execution. I don't want to take that home with me. It'll be online later if I want to see it. I can fast-forward through the pageantry, control the volume, and walk away if I feel like it.
I don't need to make reservations to get into a dark headspace.
I have no problems with suffering and torture, but executions are uninteresting because the victim doesn't have to go back to his life afterward. that makes the suffering excessive. now if you want to cane a piece of shit who will then have to return to his life afterwards, that i might attend.
Nancy Grace is a hate monger: i would attend her canning. I would volunteer to operate the cane too.
It could be a whole day of events. Maybe have a couple MMA fights beforehand.
We should put that bitch in a can!
