I got my car serviced last week for the first time at a new dealership. The process kind of sucked, they took longer than they said they would, etc. Compared to other places I've taken my car, it wasn't great. So, I got a customer survey this morning, and answered the questions truthfully. I didn't bash them totally, but was straightforward. I told them they didn't need to call or contact me. Five minutes later, I get an angry phone call from a service guy at the dealership, who's irate because my feedback "singlehandedly destroyed our team's rating, and our team gets paid that way." He demands an explanation, and I said my feedback spoke for itself, compared to other places I'd been, they weren't that great. Then he angrily tells me, "You need to understand the impact of your actions." I ended the call a minute later, just telling the guy, "It's clear you're not calling me because you want to better understand why I left the feedback I did." If this is how we really pay people, that's goddamn stupid. And also explains why there are so many fake reviews on websites out there.
