does he stay a stockbroker ?
Shit picks up eventually. I would . . .
Yes, and he becomes the greatest stockbroker of all time because he knows what stocks to buy.
yes. right after killing mlk & molesting boy howard.
If he'd stayed a stockbroker, he'd likely be in prison now.
was watching this clip, when sal was rather new.
he was so happy to be there. he even mentions how much money he made as a stockbroker but was happier working for less and being part of the show.
now, after being kicked and beaten around by everyone, his marriage being ripped apart all for less pay, i wonder if he would do it all over again ?
ps: in the clip, i was annoyed when howard again went all Freudian and thought sal wanted his job. "howard speaks for 4 hours a day, i speak for 12, i can do that". this is classic howard projecting how he thinks on to others, the concept of different people think differently is too abstract
He was never really a "stock broker" of the type you're picturing. He sat at a phone in a boiler room cold-calling old retired people in the Midwest and pressure-selling them dogshit stock with his bullshit for a commission...in between prank calls to the HSS during work hours. The last place he worked for got raided by the feds shortly after he left. Incidentally, back then, there were no real controls to prevent any shitbag willing to pay a nerd a few grand to sit and take a Series 7 exam for the license. Allegedly. Keep in mind this is the same idiot who (in 2009 or 2010) thought 30% APR on a $60,000 debt was $20,000/month. Just sayin.'
i just got hit with a massive déjà vu. is it possible that me and you discussed this about a year ago at sfn, completely forgot about this.
Either that or you just clicked on a link somebody used to post about all his shady shit on smokinggun.com.
you know what, this makes me feel better. i like sal, and always wondered if he fucked himself over. sounds like there was an upside of leaving the stockbroker business.
If Sal could jump in the DeLorean I'd really appreciate it if he would knock off that doorman before he had a chance to look at Beth funny.
Honestly, Sal seems completely stupid to me. I am amazed that he could do anything in the financial industry.
I wonder if he's still happy working for the show, now that the curtain has been pulled back.
yeah that's what I thought too. I don't think Sal regrets anything.
If Sal stayed a stockbroker, his wife's emotional friend would be her emotional second husband right now.
