this idiot did
Sure I'd return the $500 million.
I would give most of it to the north shore animal league!
no way.. Mine mine all mine I'm a greedy miser..
if i found it, nobody would ever hear from me again. leave the country, change my name, looks, learn chinese maybe and vanish.
someone put him out of his misery now.
You would have to be very careful spending it if you were going to keep it and stay in country.
I'd keep it and not go crazy. Pay off my debts and store the rest away.
No, not if I could get away with it.. including speaking to some financial people about how to launder it to look legit and in what amounts and timeframes.
long ago there was a story about this old guy who counterfeited small bills at home. just enough to have spending money. the fbi wanted to find him but as he only passed $1.00 bills and barely $50 a week he was never a hot case so nobody caught him. over 40 years he probably only passed $100,000. even when he turned himself in at around 90 yrs old the story barely made the newspapers.
Have an A-1 day...
Well, if I knew no one was looking for it, hell no.
I would keep it. I assume many people knew the money was there so I would be risking my life trying to keep it for myself. A key question is whether the farmer found it by himself. If he had a bunch of workers who also knew about it, then word spreads fast and it would be impossible to keep secret. But if I found it on a hundred acres of land that I owned and I figured there weren't other people looking for the money, there is no way in hell I would give it up.
Finding a way to launder $600M as a farmer is near impossible without the right help. But $1M-$5M seems incredible do-able over time. I would do everything myself though. Open a bunch of businesses and start funneling the money through as cash revenue. Pay my taxes and then have free access to the money. Get a house overseas and start moving more and more money to foreign accounts.
I would. It's no fun unless it's in gold coins.
Finding money is one thing.
Finding money stashed by one of the worlds most notorious drug lords is something else altogether.
This guy can't win either way.
Is this a trick question?
The answer is no
