And had the first pick, who would you choose?

Any player in history is eligible.

Being serious here, I think Magic Johnson is the greatest ever. He could do everything on the court--score, rebound, run the fast break, assist. Could also play any position. Scored 42 points playing center for the Lakers in game 6 of the 1980 Finals against the 76ers (Kareem had a migraine and couldn't suit up).

5 titles and 9 appearances in the Finals in 12 seasons. Probably could have played well into the 90's

Shaq. He won everywhere he went, he always balled hard and never went off the rails and tried to play baseball.

Jordan was great, but Shaq was so vital on both ends of the court.

I'm going to give him a break and assume he never saw MJ play.
