Thank You Internets!
I'm in my late 40's, and I appreciate it!
Happy Days debuted as a short on this show.
I'm 49 and I remember
I'm 62 and starting to forget.
I'm 51 and I could give a flying fuck.
TV right fucking now is better than anything that's happened ever.
I barely remember it being a risque show for its time. Back to my regular porn programming ...
It's a long watch but it triggered a lot of great memories. Covers my youth, completely.
Yup. I remember (probably all too well)...
Ah the ABC 4:30 movie with the opening theme done by none other then burt bacharodt.
Late one night, about a year ago, I found this clip. I just sat back and watched it and it really made me a little sad, it took me back to high school and I started thinking about my house and family at that time and of my late father. It was like a different lifetime... and a different country!
I remember pretty much every show and commercial.
That covered most of my childhood.
Gumby is the shit. Art Clokey was messed up on some high level acid in those years.
My Favorite Episode.
My favorite show to watch when I was home sick from school. Kinda surprised I was allowed to see it as it was considered racy for its time.
I just bought the DVD set with the original music/sound restored and am binge watching with my kids. You are so right .... Insane stuff considering it came out in the 50s. Balls out trippy shit
Wow, I must've missed that one in syndication! LOL I bet "Davey & Goliath" wish they had a similar episode, too!
Overall, I agree. It coincides with the fact that movies have never sucked more. But, All in the Family still stands up to anything today. Sanford and Son was great too. I never appreciated The Mary Tyler Moore Show, but some think it was the best ever. Most TV did suck back then, but movies were great.
