3 guys. Sizable branches. Hot day. Yadda yadda. Do I tip? About an $800 job.
...just buy them some beer for the end of the day and keep some of that wood for your bbq grill.
No tip. Just sing this to them. And don't forget to do the dance!
This, also should have a cooler out there with ice and bottles of water or Gatorade for them while they are working.
Then a couple of nice ice cold 6 packs for after
I'm going to go with the Morris Day act. I think it will go over well with these guys.
here in the Midwest you shouldn't prune oak trees anytime except for when they're dormant and it's cold out due to oak wilt...fresh cuts attract some kind of bug that can infect the trees...hope you're somewhere that oak wilt isn't a problem?
After they drink a bunch of Gatorade, let them know they were $5 per bottle. If they drink enough, maybe you can get the tree work for free.
I would echo what everyone else said - some cold drinks and maybe food. And be nice to them.
Neighbors have some gardeners trimming their hedges between our houses today. Loud and annoying.
Order one of them awesome hot dog pizzas.
I was sanding my deck all morning before the guys started with the tree. Neighbor behind me was trying to sit at his pool and looked completely irritated.
I have 7 live oaks. Pruned them 3 weeks ago. A grand for em all. Dudes are like monkeys man. They were all over them trees.
I fucked a girl named Oak Wilt.
On a hot day I would provide cold refreshments and I would tip. $20 a guy....
But I work in a tip industry so ya can't ask me
Could you somehow turn this into a Moose insulting thread? Maybe "moose is like a tree."
Are you sure that was a girl? Was she related to Dick Trickle?
I love you Jayla.and its not the 3 bloody Mary's talking...and the bong hits...
But you know as well as I do garden maintenance does not yank heart strings...kit'ns with no eyes work...so....
Food and drinks maybe. $800 is a fair price, but not so much that you should be THAT thankful.
